Provision of Central Coordination and Community Development for the Buckinghamshire Locality Physica

Buckinghamshire County Council was seeking to establish a contract with a supplier able to provide a coordination and community development service as part of the Locality Physical Activity Project (the Project). The Project will be delivered through the framework of the 19 Local Area Forums (LAFs) in Buckinghamshire. Each LAF will be offered a package over 2 years to promote physical activity in their area. The Project will support all ages to be more physically active, particularly targeting those who are inactive, and form a vital part of the prevention programme for the Care Act.This contract will deliver the following requirements:1. Coordinating the delivery of the Project;2. Recruitment, training and support for Community Champions (volunteers);3. Community engagement in Buckinghamshire;4. Physical activity focussed asset mapping;5. Advising and supporting LAFs to deliver local physical activity project;6. Providing support and to co-operate with organisation responsible for evaluating local physical activity project.
