Descriptions

Creating an inclusive workplace is one of DVLA's priorities, and our goal is to become one of the most inclusive departments in the Civil Service. As part of the Equality Act 2010, we have a duty of care to ensure that groups with protected characteristics are not disadvantaged within the workplace, this includes advancing equality of opportunity. Requirements have been identified for staff to attend diverse events covering a range of topics, to support an inclusive workplace. In line with the Civil service Diversity and Inclusion strategy, there is a focus on increasing the representation of talented Minority Ethnic (EMIL) people, and people with disabilities, in the pipeline to the Senior Civil Service (SCS). In order to support this strategy, two events specifically have been identified Women into Leadership and EMIL into Leadership, along with a small number of diverse series events to enhance the capabilities and leadership for Women and Black, Asian & Ethnic Minority colleagues across the Civil Service and wider public sector. The Buyer may extend the Contract for two period(s) of 12 months each.
