Awarded
Provision of Erewash holiday activities programme
Descriptions
The Council has traditionally co-ordinated and delivered an internal annual holiday activities programme across its leisure facilities during the school holiday periods. This has included a combination of sport, physical activity and arts and craft sessions. The Council is now outsourcing this provision and proposals are therefore invited for the co-ordination and delivery of Erewash’s Holiday Activity Programmes in 2016/7 for the holiday periods of the summer break 2016, October half-term 2016 and February half-term 2017. This will consist of a programme of activities delivered in the south of the borough based at West Park Leisure Centre, Long Eaton and the north of the borough based at Rutland Sports Park, Ilkeston and Victoria Park Leisure Centre. The Council will provide the successful Contractor with the use of the wet, dry and outdoor facilities at the locations above. The Council will be operating this arrangement as a ‘booking’ of their facilities and as such is requesting a financial contribution from Contractors. No payment will be made by the Council to the Contractor for provision of this service. However, alongside the use of the facilities above, the Council will offer existing resources, skills and knowledge where possible to support the Contractor in delivering an excellent programme. The successful Contractor will be wholly responsible for devising, managing, staffing and delivering the programme within the Councils leisure facilities. The successful Contractor will be responsible for their own pricing strategy, sales, bookings, generating income and collecting fees directly from participants. All associated expenditure will be that of the Contractor. Contractors can submit a proposal to deliver the Holiday Activity Programme at either: • West Park Leisure Centre AND Rutland Sports Park including the use of Victoria Park Leisure Centre for swimming activities (Lot 1). OR • West Park Leisure Centre only (Lot 2) Proposals will not be accepted for delivery at Rutland Sports Park only. It is the Council’s preference to award a Contract for the provision of Lot 1 (West Park Leisure Centre and Rutland Sports Park) and proposals received for this lot will be evaluated first. In the event that no suitable proposals are received for Lot 1, then Lot 2 will be evaluated. The deadline for completed proposals is 12:00 on Friday 6th May 2016.
