Provision of FLOWMIS Towing Simulation and Associated Services
Descriptions
In the context of the deployment of floating offshore wind (FLOW) power generating infrastructure in the Celtic Sea, the transit of fully constructed integrated FLOW turbines along the Milford Haven waterway represents a challenge for the port and those charged with their safe movement. The Port also needs to demonstrate these transits are possible and in a safe manner which does not jeopardise any fixed assets, cargoes or berthed vessels. The Port is implementing a Floating Offshore Wind (FLOW) towing programme from Q1 2024-Q3 2025. This will build on background work already undertaken such as a swept path study (air and water draft) and towing trials undertaken in the Port’s own pilot training simulator. The purpose of the programme is to explore the constraints, challenges and opportunities associated with the towing of FLOW turbines on the Haven Waterway. Towing operations are likely to be required for Pembroke Port to play a role in the construction of FLOW turbines to then be deployed in the Celtic Sea.The services are comprised of three elements:A. Building a 3D model of the Haven environment complete with objects (see below)B.Undertaking a simulation programme following the construction of the model.C.Employment of the simulator to deliver a training course (course content to be delivered by the Employer). Please see tender link for full details: https://mhpa.sharepoint.com/:f:/s/O365Tenders/EoUNLqgwIKJLogb0Tn1bN8gBp9jl2t0OMpwpQFjITeCvlA?e=fH3zO5NOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at https://www.sell2wales.gov.wales/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=138674.
