Provision of Furniture to Swansea University's Science & Innovation Bay Campus

The development of the Bay Campus necessitates a major programme of procurement covering a wide range of goods, services and works.Accordingly, the University seeks to appoint suitably experienced and competent suppliers for the provision of furniture against the following Lots:Workstations, Student Desking and Tables (Lot 1)Task Seating (Lot 2)Steel and Other Storage (Lot 3)Conference, Meeting, Café and Breakout Tables (Lot 4)Credenza’s & Lecturns (Lot 5)Meeting and Breakout Chairs & Stools (Lot 6)The initial contract will be for a period of three years, with the option to extend the contract for a further period of two years (3 (+2) years).Phase 1 of the Bay Campus will go live for the start of the academic year in September 2015.The University will appoint suppliers for the loose furniture fit out as part of the Phase One development and occupation of the Bay Campus.In recognition that further phases of development and occupation may take place during the term of this proposed contract, tenderers shall note that the University will reserve the right to carry out separate procurements for the fit out with loose furniture of future buildings for planned development and occupation phases.Phase 1 will include the fit out of the following Bay Campus buildings. Note also the estimated dates by which all furniture is planned to be in place by: --Great Hall – June 2015-Engineering Central (Innovation Hub) – May 2015-Engineering East (Engineering Manufacturing Centre) – May 2015-Institute of Structural Materials (SMaRT) – April 2015-Energy Safety Research Institute (ESRI) – May 2015-Bay Library – May 2015-School of Management – June 2015-Student Union – August 2015-Central Administration – June 2015Tenderers should note that the student accommodation during Phase 1 currently under development at Bay Campus will not be subject to this tender.The proposed contract will include ongoing provision of furniture to the Bay Campus as required by the University in order to maintain uniformity of appearance for furniture related items.
