Descriptions
This procurement will set up a new Framework through open competition for the provision of gas tight suits. These suits are being procured for use by the UK Fire and Rescue Service and possibly members of the other emergency services and government departments as required to undertake activities in environments contaminated with chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) agents. The procurement will be based upon a technical specification which will include a requirement for the suit to conform to Category A of British Standard BS 8467:2006. This standard includes a dynamic mannequin in live agent test and requires data from a mannequin/man-in-simulant test along with other evaluation criteria.
