Data supply services. The ONS is the main Government Agency responsible for the collection and co-ordination of economic, labour and social statistics in the UK. The successful supplier will be required to supply company group structure data, update company group structure data and licence ONS usage of company group structure data for the ONS INter Departmental Business Register (IDBR). The IDBR is a structured list of 2 100 000 UK businesses, maintained by the ONS and covering 99 % of UK economic activity which is primarily used to select samples for surveys of businesses, to produce analyses of business activity and to maintain details of business structures. As a minimum, suppliers will be required to provide heirachical linkages between UK businesses (e.g. parent/subsidiary relationships) and details of foreign ownership.
