Environmental issues consultancy services. The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has a legal responsibility to ensure that its operations are conducted in as safe a manner as is reasonably practicable, as stipulated in the Sectretary of State for Defence's policy statement 'Safety, Health and Environmental Protection in the Ministry of Defence', and the provision of an Independent Consultancy forms part of this process. To achieve this, the RAF requires an independent organization to oversee bird control policy, as well as the standardization and performance of unit Bird Control Staff in compliance with UK Government legal obligations.The Authority requires an organization for minimizing the effect upon its aircraft operations caused by collision with birds.when undertaking the provision of services, the Contractor is to undertake activity within the following subject areas:— Safeguarding Cases,— Periodic Standard Checks,— Wildlife Habitat Surveys,— Expert Witness (at Public Enquiries),— Expert Witness (at MoD Enquiries),— Bird Strike Remains Analysis,— Courses of Instruction,— Bird Avoidance Management Geographical Information System (BAMGIS) Mission Planning Aid.
