Torfaen County Borough Council currently has approximately £5 million assets on lease agreements (the majority operating leases), with annual rentals of £831,295. In 2009/10 lease drawdowns of £800,000 were undertaken. It is anticipated that £2,336,500 of lease drawdowns will be completed during 2010/11.The Council requires suitably qualified consultants to provide a comprehensive leasing consultancy service in order to support the Authority with guidance and advice when opting to use leasing to fund capital expenditure in line with best practice.The contract is for a period of one year with an option to extend for an addition period of up to two years.
