ARB is the UK statutory regulator of architects, and is responsible for setting the standards of education, training and competence required to become a UK-registered architect. Only those on the Register of Architects can legally use the title ‘architect' in business or practice.This contract is for individuals or practices in Scotland to prepare and present its Professional Conduct Committee (PCC) cases and prosecute cases of unlawful use of the title ‘architect'.Applicants must:— be a solicitor or barrister;— have experience of working for a professional regulator;— have experience of dealing with the Procurator Fiscal in respect of summary offences.Knowledge of the construction industry is desirable, but not essential.The successful applicant(s) would be expected to deal with approximately three PCC cases and 5 misuse of title cases annually.
