Provision of Legal Services to the National Assembly for Wales

The Service will be provided to the Director of Legal Services, National Assembly for Wales based in the Ty Hywel, Cardiff Bay, Cardiff CF99 1NA. A term contract with a single Firm of Solicitors able to provide advice in the following categories;Employment - provision of contentious and non-contentious advice and services on employment issues relating to staff employed by the National Assembly for Wales Commission Conveyancing and Real property – advice and services on issues relating to the Commission’s Cardiff estate (including the Senedd, Ty Hywel and the Pierhead Building) and other premisesInformation and Communications Technology – advice and services on all aspects of the procurement, negotiation and management of ICT contractsCommercial – advice and services relating to procurement, intellectual property and contractual relations between the Commission and its suppliersCorporate – advice and services related to the corporate law issues including compliance and due diligenceLitigation – advice and services on a wide variety of contentious matters including representation in courts and tribunalsPublic (constitutional and administrative) law – advice in relation to issues of public law arising out of the activities of the Commission and National Assembly, including Judicial Review European Community Law – advice in relation to issues of EC law arising out of proposed Assembly legislation Miscellaneous – advice in relation to miscellaneous legal matters arising out of the activities of the Commission and the National Assembly generallyThe National Assembly for Wales' Terms & Conditions of Contract for Services shall apply.See attached PQQ for details of criteria that apply to the Selection of suppliers.
