Provision of Library Discovery Service or Federated Searching Solution for the House of Commons and House of Lords
Descriptions
The House of Commons Library and the House of Lords Library are seeking to procure a Library Discovery Service or Federated Searching Solution to search and access their subscription services for initial 3 years with option to extend for further 2 x 12 months. The two Libraries are distinct and separate organisations, each with its own user base. The two Libraries coordinate their collections to maximise taxpayer's value for money. The Authority's Libraries require a search tool that allows users to search across print and online content in a location with ability to access subscribed contents or be signposted directly. The Authority's Library is interested in a solution with the following but not limited to these functionalities: ·Indexing of the Commons Library local collections (library catalogue), consisting of around 230,000 titles.·Access to a central index (or equivalent federated searching index coverage) where electronic and print journals (around 165 subscribed journal titles plus others contained in a small number of subscription databases) can be searched at article level.Further details can be found in the Statement of Requirement on our InTend eSourcing portal.
