Provision of Microsoft Lync Solution and Services.
Descriptions
The University of Ulster has adopted a Strategy to replace its aging telephone systems with a solution based upon Microsoft Lync over the next 3 years. Whilst the University already has the rights to Lync licences and the solution will run upon the University's VMware server infrastructure, the university wishes to engage with a partner for the provision of professional services to deploy the Lync solution, for the provision and installation of gateway and session border controller solutions, and for the on-going support of the deployed solution. The resulting Lync solution will replace the telephone systems at the University's four campuses in their entirety and will provide telephony and unified communications (UC) services to approximately 3 000 users plus up to 3 000 additional ‘hard’ telephones.
