Network Rail is seeking a partner to provide spectrum for the purpose of using and exploiting Network Rail's telecoms infrastructure in the establishment of mobile connectivity and other commercial services, as well as rural broadband services.The objective of this procurement process includes providing access to and the “right to use” certain elements of the Network Rail' telecoms infrastructure to the benefit of the successful partner. The estimated contract value stated in this Contract Notice relates to the estimated revenue the successful partner may be able to generate via this opportunity based upon an envisaged revenue share with Network Rail however Network Rail gives no guarantee in relation to any revenue streams. Network Rail anticipates the majority proportion of the money flow between the parties, will be in Network Rail's favour.Potential partners must be able to provide a range of spectrum, associated equipment and services suitable to facilitate improved on-train mobile connectivity along the England, Scotland, Wales rail network, including Network Rail's own managed stations.Under a separate Contract Notice (reference 2013-OJS 235-408839), Network Rail is putting in place a multi-supplier Framework Agreement(s) for the provision of, and possible installation of, trackside infrastructure along the England, Scotland, Wales rail corridor related to its Mobile Connectivity and rural broadband requirements.
