NEWS currently owns and manages a Materials Recycling Facility (MFR) at its Costessey location. The plant operates 24/7/365 days per year. The waste that is treated or passed through the plant is critical to the successful operation of the waste production for the Councils identified above. The original CP plant was installed in 2003 and upgraded by machineX in 2014. The plant is a 35tonne per hour MRF with screens, air separators and 11 bailers. It has a mix of American, Canadian & UK equipment of mixed of ages. The MRF processes mixed dry recyclable materials, and the facility has the capacity to process up to 120,000 tonnes of mixed recyclables per year. NEWS is seeking suitably qualified bids for the servicing, planned preventative maintenance (ppm) and general maintenance of the whole plant along with reactive repairs and breakdowns.
