Provision of Out of Hours GP Services to Her Majesty's Prison Cardiff

Expressions of Interest are sought for the provision of Out of Hours GP Services to HMP Cardiff. The General Medical Practitioner will be required to work at HMP Cardiff as necessary in the delivery of the Services. HMP Cardiff is located at 1 Knox Rd, Cardiff. The General Medical Practitioner will need to work to ensure a seamless provision of the Out of Hours Services to HMP Cardiff, work and co-operate with the UHB, its officers, employees and other personnel, and other General Medical Practitioners performing the services, whether these are other self employed General Medical Practitioners, or General Medical Practitioners employed by the UHB. We hope to appoint a provider to commence in 1st May 2015.Clinical provisionThe provider must provide appropriately qualified, skilled and experienced GPs to see and treat patients as required Out of Hours. Primary care medical services for HMP Cardiff must be provided between 19.00 and 08.00 Monday to Friday, and all day at weekends, from 19.00 on Friday to 08.00 Monday inclusive and all Bank and Public Holidays.Administrative provisionThe provider will be expected to provide all administrative aspects of the service. Clinicians will need to have experience of appropriate IT systems.LocationWe will expect services to be delivered from the Health Centre located within HMP Cardiff 1 Knox Rd, Cardiff.GovernanceThe service provider will need to adhere to all Cardiff and Vale information and clinical governance guidelines in the management of patient information and treatment.
