The MPS has appointed two providers to work in partnership with the MPS dog support unit (DSU) and dog training establishment (DTE) to provide high quality veterinary care and associated services to cover 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The MPS has approximately 360 police dogs based at six key locations in North, South, East and West London including the dog training establishment.
