Provision of PSO Air Service between Cardiff Airport and RAF Valley

Descriptions

The Welsh Ministers have secured a new 4 year contract for the provision of a scheduled air service between north and south Wales. The service will provide at least two daily direct flights and will be operated as a Public Service Obligation (PSO) under European Union Regulations 1008/2008. The aim of the air service is to encourage closer economic, social and political cohesiveness between north and south Wales, and to generate positive economic development outcomes for north Wales. The intra-Wales air service has operated since 2007 and will continue to provide a convenient, affordable transport opportunity for citizens and businesses to travel within Wales and further afield.
