Carmarthenshire County Council is seeking to appoint a contractor who will add value to our Organisation and deliver a reliable, high quality, value for money scaffolding service.The items listed in the Contract Requirements will be critical to the success of the contract and Tenderers are required to indicate that the Tender submitted will satisfy all the requirements mentioned in the document.The successful contractor must demonstrate that they operate a suitable scaffolding inspection system such as ‘Scafftag’ or a similar system to help prevent working at height hazards and efficiently manage scaffold inspection procedures.The Authority endeavours to achieve sustainable development outcomes from all its activities and is committed to contributing to the social, economic and environmental well-being of the wider community in all procurement activity. The successful contractor will be required to take account of sustainable development issues and will be encouraged to consider opportunities to achieve community benefits through the delivery of this contract e.g. recruit and train unemployed persons as part of the workforce delivering this contract; work with local schools and colleges for work placements; engage with local communities; etc.
