The catering contract being offered will commence on 1.8.2015 for an initial period of 3 years, concluding on 31.7.2018, and will be offered on a guaranteed performance basis.The successful tenderer will be required to provide catering services at Dinnington Comprehensive School and Brinsworth Comprehensive School, which are located approximately 11 miles apart.It should be noted that whilst both Schools are sharing the same tender exercise, and both are members of the ‘Learner Engagement Achievement Partnership', they reserve the right to appoint 2 separate catering contractors and therefore separate contracts may be awarded on an individual basis.The individual requirements of the Schools are deemed by the Partnership to be equally important to those of each other and the successful tenderer is expected to have significant experience in catering for the dietary needs of a wide range of pupils.Please note that during the period of the contract the Partnership may further expand and the provision of any additional catering requirements would be negotiated separately.The contract offered covers the scope for the provision of all catering services within the Partnership, which currently includes breakfast club, morning break, lunch, all hospitality and free issue requirements. Free school meals and hospitality will be charged based on consumption and at net food cost.Whilst the Schools' objective of value for money is a priority, innovation and continued innovation of the current catering service throughout the contract term will be pivotal to the success of the new contract. The Schools are looking for a contractor who will continue to evaluate standards, process and procedures to reflect the high levels of achievement within the Schools.The Partnership expects the successful contractor to enable the continued development of catering through the provision of an innovative, healthy food service, with fresh, seasonal, locally sourced ingredients being prepared on-site.The Partnership invites bidders to consider offers of Capital Investment, to assist in upgrading and/or harmonizing the current facilities and simultaneously alternative options for further catering investment are being actively investigated.
