Provision of School Catering Services.

The successful tenderer will be required to provide catering services at St Martin's Catholic Academy.The contract covers the scope for the provision of all catering services within the Academy, which also includes all hospitality and free issue requirements. As part of this tender it is hoped that new points of sale will be established within the Academy by the successful contractor on contract commencement.It is expected that the successful contractor will be able to offer both innovation and a new food service offer which meets the needs of the pupils moving forwards into this contract term. The current range of foods needs to be expanded along with the service provision and to this end a breakfast service will be required from the commencement of this new contract.The successful contractor must be able to demonstrate both innovation and a genuine desire to provide excellent quality food and service to both the pupils and staff within the Academy.The successful contractor will be required to utilise the local suppliers within the area and incorporate these ingredients within the menu and offer a catering provision based on the supply of fresh ingredients.Tariff prices are critical and it is expected that ‘value for money’ is offered to all customers within the daily catering provision.The contract currently operates on a subsidy. Free school meals and hospitality will be charged based on consumption and at net food cost. The current value of the catering contract is approximately 20 000 GBP per annum.The contract being offered commences on 1.8.2015 and concludes on 31.7.2018 and will be on a guaranteed performance basis.
