Provision of School Catering Services.

The successful tenderer will be required to provide catering services at The Boswells School, Burnham Road, Chelmsford, Essex, CM1 6LY.The pupil role is currently:Main School 1235VI Form 230An ‘in house’ team presently provides the service. Any company wishing to be considered for this contract must be able to demonstrate experience and depth of knowledge in the management and handling of TUPE issues relating to employees within an in house team. This will be of considerable importance to the School and client.The school site is constantly evolving and it is expected that the new contractor will become involved with the growth and enhancement of the catering services to students and staff.There is an expectation that the successful bidder will be prepared to offer financial investment to The Boswells School in exchange for a longer term contract of between three and five years.The School is seeking to, as a minimum, maintain and improve the quality of services within their catering function.The contract will commence in April 2015 for an initial period of three years, with the option to extend by mutual agreement for a further 2 periods of 1 year.The Boswells School is an extremely popular, academically successful, over-subscribed 11-18 school in Chelmsford, Essex that has an excellent reputation within the community.The innovative approaches to teaching and learning that we have developed ensure that more students than ever are achieving high levels of academic success.Whilst our approach to teaching is innovative, it is underpinned by an insistence on the traditional values of excellent behaviour, courtesy to others, wearing school uniform with pride and self-respect and discipline.
