Provision of Specialist Palliative Care Service Change ServicesAbertawe Bro Morgannwg University Health Board (ABMU) provides a range of services including Specialist Palliative Care. Over the last 10 years, there has been a significant change in the way that these specialist services have been delivered within ABMU. This has been down to the increasing numbers of referrals; the opening up of the service to patients with non-malignancy; the time in the disease trajectory at which patients are referred and the evolving medical management of patients.In order to ensure that the Health Board’s patients receive the best possible care and is delivered in an effective, efficient and consistent manner, it has been agreed that an independent review, utilising the Appreciative Inquiry (AI) methodology, of the current services should be undertaken.Suitably qualified and experienced providers are invited to participate in the contract opportunity and submit proposals for meeting the Health Board’s requirement.
