Provision of Technical Support Services for Tendering Design for Compliance and Science Vessels

Marine Scotland are intending to have a tendering design developed with a view to procuring a new vessel in the near future and as a result wish to develop a tendering technical specification and its associated plans for the new vessel which will be used as part of the tendering documents for the shipyards.The project will be split into a number of discreet stages, though an iterative approach to the project will be imperative, for example, as follows:A. review and development of statements of requirement(s);B. feasibility study for fuel/powering arrangements;C. conceptual GA (General Arrangement) drawing;D. hull design and powering;E. deck and equipment arrangement;F. accommodation arrangements;G. wheelhouse layout;H. machinery arrangements;I. displacement calculations;J. lightship weight estimates;K. stability calculations;L. review;M. resistance, power, sea keeping, environmental noise and maneuvering modelling;N. development of full technical specification for design and build tender;O. regulatory and Class assessment and check;P. estimate of build costs;Q. preparation of plans, drawings and documents for design and build tender;R. assist with the evaluation of build bids, including yard visits;S. design and drawing approval during design and build contract;T. provision of supervisory staff throughout the build and trials stages at shipyard (working with Marine Scotland Staff).
