Marine Scotland are intending to have a tendering design developed with a view to procuring a new vessel in the near future and as a result wish to develop a tendering technical specification and its associated plans for the new vessel which will be used as part of the tendering documents for the shipyards., The project will be split into a number of discreet stages, though an iterative approach to the project will be imperative, for example, as follows:, U.Review and development of Statement of Requirements;, V.Feasibility Study for fuel/powering arrangements;, W.Conceptual GA (General Arrangement) drawing;, X.Hull design and powering;, Y.Deck and equipment arrangement;, Z.Accommodation arrangements;, AA.Wheelhouse layout;, BB.Machinery arrangements;, CC.Displacement calculations;, DD.Lightship weight estimates;, EE.Stability calculations;, FF.Review;, GG.Resistance, power, sea keeping, environmental noise and maneuvering modelling;, HH.Development of full technical specification for design and build tender;, II.Regulatory and Class assessment and check;, JJ.Estimate of build costs;, KK.Preparation of plans, drawings and documents for design and build tender;, LL.Assist with the evaluation of build bids, including yard visits;, MM.Design and drawing approval during design and build contract;, NN.Provision of supervisory staff throughout the build and trials stages at shipyard (working with Marine Scotland Staff).
