Provision of Technical Support Services for Tendering Design for Compliance and Science Vessels

Marine Scotland are intending to have a tendering design developed with a view to procuring a new vessel in the near future and as a result wish to develop a tendering technical specification and its associated plans for the new vessel which will be used as part of the tendering documents for the shipyards.The project will be split into a number of discreet stages, though an iterative approach to the project will be imperative, for example, as follows:A. Review and development of Statements of Requirement(s);B. Feasibility Study for fuel/powering arrangements;C. Conceptual GA (General Arrangement) drawing;D. Hull design and powering;E. Deck and equipment arrangement;F. Accommodation arrangements;G. Wheelhouse layout;H. Machinery arrangements;I. Displacement calculations;J. Lightship weight estimates;K. Stability calculations;L. Review;M. Resistance, power, sea keeping, environmental noise and maneuvering modelling;N. Development of full technical specification for design and build tender;O. Regulatory and Class assessment and check;P. Estimate of build costs;Q. Preparation of plans, drawings and documents for design and build tender;R. Assist with the evaluation of build bids, including yard visits;S. Design and drawing approval during design and build contract;T. Provision of supervisory staff throughout the build and trials stages at shipyard (working with Marine Scotland Staff).
