Provision of Temporary Accommodation for Homeless Households

Wrexham County Borough Council’s Housing Options Service is seeking Expressions of Interest from qualified suppliers wishing to provide temporary accommodation for homeless households as our own ‘in-house’ accommodation is insufficient to meet the demand to fulfil our statutory requirements.Providers will work closely with the Housing Options Service to provide suitable accommodation for households assessed as homeless, subject to the conclusion of the Council's enquiries.Location:The Council is seeking properties primarily in Wrexham County Borough, and neighbouring boroughs. We will also consider properties farther afield if necessary.Total quantity or scope:The Council therefore seeks to work with Providers, to supplement its own accommodation with a full range of suitable temporary accommodation:Type 1 — Emergency Accommodation•Fully furnished en-suite rooms of various sizes withoutcooking facilities•Spot-purchased and paid for on a nightly basis•Rate is inclusive of all chargesType 2 — Short Term Accommodation•Fully furnished en-suite rooms of various sizes•Kitchen facilities available to occupants•Supplier-Managed•Spot-purchased and paid for on a nightly basis•Rate is inclusive of all charges – utility, council taxType 3 — Settled/Long Term Accommodation• Unfurnished and fully furnished self-contained accommodationof all sizes• Spot purchased and paid on a nightly basis• Licensee to be responsible for utility and council tax whenin occupationProcurement of these properties will be demand-led with the number of units required reflecting the number of households provisionally accepted as homeless under the legislation at any point.At this stage, we are requesting expressions of interest only, however, it is anticipated that an Invitation to Tender will be published in the near future, offering contracts for up to 4 years.Please register your interest on Sell2Wales no later than Noon on Friday 18 January 2019NOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at https://www.sell2wales.gov.wales/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=88594.
