Descriptions
The National Convener and Children's Hearing Scotland require a contractor to design, deliver and evaluate quality assured compulsory national training to approximately 2700 Children's Panel members (along with a further 300 to 500 volunteers who provide support to panel members through Area Support Teams (AST's)). Panel members voluntarily put themselves forward for the role, but once trained, they take on the responsibilities of lay members of a statutory tribunal. The object of the training is to equip panel members with the skills, knowledge and understanding required to efficiently fulfil their role within the Children's Hearing System.
