Descriptions
The provision of Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus, associated equipment and services, including but not limited to:— purchase self-contained breathing apparatus (including SCBA Sets, SCBA Cylinders, ADSU Facilities, Communication Equipment) with associated services relating to maintenance, testing and repair.The equipment provided must:a) Supply the wearer with respirable air independent of the external environmentb) be capable of operating in all fire and rescue environments when used by operational firefighters.It is essential that the equipment provided must be compliant with UK legislation in force at the time that the equipment enters operational service.It shall be possible to upgrade the Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus and associated equipment during the life of the contract, subject to new wearer requirements and technological innovations.
