Brief Description of Requirement The aims of this research are to gain a comprehensive view of the challenges and opportunities faced within India and UK in the areas of food and nutrition, and an understanding of UK and India capabilities. The team commissioning this research is the Innovate UK AgriFood team which has expertise in the areas of agriculture, food and nutrition, and work closely with the Emerging Economies team with expertise in international development. There will be one main point of contact for this project. The approach should primarily use desktop research using available market data and reports, with consultations with key stakeholders (including internal UKRI stakeholders) to inform and validate findings. We would also like you to carry out a small scoping workshop to bring together a mix of researchers, key government policy makers and industry participants from both countries to understand the trends in food and nutrition, and horizon scan. The objectives of the project are to be able to understand the shared challenges, capabilities and expertise between the UK and India in the area of nutrition, diet and health and to be able to recommend where the UK and India can work together to solve these public health challenges.
