***** THIS IS AN AWARD NOTICE, NOT A CALL FOR COMPETITION ***** This procurement is being concluded following a mini competition under the Crown Commercial Services: Grant Admin Services DPS RM6172 Brief Description of Requirement The Department of Science Innovation and Technology (DSIT) are seeking a delivery partner to administer the Research and Innovation strand of the UK-India Education and Research Initiative (UKIERI). The aim of UKIERI phase 4 is to administer UKIERI funds to deliver programmes to deepen education, research and innovation collaboration between the India and the UK, in line with the ambitions outlined in the government India-UK 2030 roadmap in line with the strategic direction of DSIT and the UK Science and Innovation Network team in India, as well as the Government of India. Through administration of UKIERI funds the delivery partner will be required to build upon the synergies developed in previous phases of UKIERI to create and stimulate new research partnerships and consortia in priority sectors. Short summary of requirements: The delivery partner will have to meet the following requirements: -Capability to manage a close relationship with the Government of India and partner with the UK High Commission, India to deliver a programme aligned with the shared research and innovation priorities of the UK and India -Existing capability or capability to build long-term, sustainable and wide-reaching partnerships with universities across India and the UK -Means to deliver funding competitions, award funds, oversee the delivery of managing programmes and run events to promote and deliver on these programmes. Expected project length/ Overview of the customer UKIERI Phase 4 will run for two years from 2023-2025 and be jointly funded by the Department of Science, Innovation and Technology, who will invest from the UK side up to £1 million in the program per year. The proposed programme is expected to attract matched funding in conjunction with the Government of India who the supplier will be required to liaise with and co-design project activities with. The customer for this procurement is the ministerial Department of Science, Innovation and Technology within the government of the United Kingdom.
