Public Consultation - BCC's Draft Social Value Procurement Policy
Descriptions
Belfast City Council’s 'BCC' draft Social Value Procurement Policy, which is currently out for public consultation, outlines the progressive measures that the Council will put in place to help drive inclusive economic growth, improve the local environment and support vulnerable people.Whilst seeking to ensure the best value for money when purchasing goods, works and services, it is also designed to help deliver on the inclusive growth ambitions of reducing poverty, economic inactivity, unemployment and underemployment, as outlined in The Belfast Agenda, the city’s community plan. This is your opportunity, as either a current supplier or potential supplier for BCC, to review the proposals and provide feedback to help shape the final policy. You can read the draft policy and provide feedback (via a short online survey) through Belfast City Council’s consultation hubhttps://yoursay.belfastcity.gov.uk/social-value-policyThe consultation will remain open until Tuesday 14th December 2021.To help ensure everyone has an opportunity to participate, we would encourage you to distribute this email to others within your organisation, or indeed other stakeholders, that might be interested in reviewing our proposals and providing their feedback. This might include individuals/organisations that are on any email distribution lists/databases that your organisation retains. Many thanks in advance.Regards,Lewis MurrayStrategic Category Manager
