Public Health work with Public Health England on International Health Regulations and Integrated Dis

DFID is undertaking this tender exercise on behalf of Public Health England (PHE). PHE would like to invite tenders from potential Service Providers to work with them to provide Public Health expertise and support to the national government of Pakistan and the provincial government of Punjab on Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response (IDSR) and compliance with the WHO International Health Regulation 2005 (IHR). The Service Provider will work with PHE in Pakistan to deliver a number of project outputs, providing both development and local public health knowledge to complement the technical expertise provide by PHE. We envisage this support to be primarily provided through 2 full-time senior Public Health experts to be deployed in Islamabad and Lahore for 12-18 months. The Service Provider will also undertake a Political and Institutional Economy Analysis as part of this requirement. The contract duration will be 18 months and is expected to start at the beginning of March 2016. We reserve the right to scale up or extend the contract by up to a further year should there be continued need and subject to funding approval.
