Descriptions
Herefordshire Council intends to commence a procurement exercise in respect of the supply and installation of office and car park lighting. The Council envisages that this work will commence during Autumn 2016 with a view to finalising the installation of the lighting by January 2017. The office and car park lighting will contribute towards Herefordshire Council’s cost and carbon saving initiatives, in particular, Herefordshire’s compliance with the UK Climate Change Act (2008) to reduce overall emissions by 80% by 2050. The appointed provider will be responsible for supply and installation of lighting together with controls and innovative energy saving solutions on four sites: 1.Plough Lane offices 2.Blueschool House offices 3.Maylord Orchard underground car park 4.Garrick mult-storey car park Key Objectives: Objective 1: Provide high quality lighting on four sites. Objective 2: To reduce lighting energy costs and carbon emissions on the four sites by use of efficient lighting solutions. We are interested on all four sites in your suggestions with regards to motion and day light sensors. Objective 3: Lighting for all four sites should be within the recommended levels for the building type. However for the 2 offices we are keen to keep the lux level below 600 lux.
