Purchase and Processing of 'mixed glass' from Carmarthenshire County Council

The Council are seeking the provision of a licensed facility(s) to receive and process quantities of “All types of Mixed Glass” arising from Plot 15, Trostre Industrial Estate, Llanelli, Carmarthenshire, in a manner which Complies fully with all waste legislation, using methods designed to maximise the Recycling of all types of mixed glass which are eligible to count towards Welsh Government Local Authority Recycling Targets.The Contract will require that priority is given to closed loop processing of glass over any other waste recovery process (e.g. re-melt back to new glass products or use of glass for the production of fibreglass), with the tonnage being eligible to count towards Welsh Government Targets. The Contract duration is for two years with an option to extend for a further 12 months.
