Amgueddfa Cymru - National Museum Wales is seeking expressions of interest for the design, configuration, installation and commissioning of a middleware system.The system must enable the automated extraction and aggregation records, data and media from the Museum's existing collection management databases. Once aggregated, the system must present the information a web ready form for publishing online. It must be possible to augment or change metadata before it is shown to web users and without changing the original curatorial records.The initial pilot phase will cover data relating to archaeological, industrial, social history, oral and documentary archive and photographic collections but must be flexible and extendable to enable it to work with all museum collections in future which also include natural history and art.NOTE: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process.
