Purchase of Straddle Carriers.

London Gateway Port Limited wishes to develop an automated/semi-automated container terminal for this new port development and for this purpose requires the design, manufacture, supply, installation and commission of 14 straddle carriers to transfer containers between ship's side and container stacks served by automated stacking cranes. The straddle carriers shall have the capability of future automation and interface with yard management system allowing automatic (operator-less) transfer of containers between the ship's side and container stacks. The supplier shall be required to submit proof of concept as part of tender documents. The supplier shall be required to have developed full automation software as part of the terminal operating system by the time the contrat is awarded.
