Qualifying Training for Social Care Staff in Carmarthenshire

The Care Council for Wales expects that all employers of care staff ensure that their workforce will attain appropriate qualifications and have access to relevant qualifying training whilst working in the sector. Carmarthenshire County Council is therefore seeking to commission a provider for the delivery of qualifying training to staff employed in adult and children’s social care services.The successful bidder is to be the appointed provider for the delivery of accredited qualification training to care staff in order to comply with the National standards for the Social Care Workforce in Wales. The appointed supplier is expected to deliver all of the following courses on behalf of Carmarthenshire County Council:•QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care on Levels 2, 3 & 5 on identified Pathways in adult care/learning disability care/mental health services/enablement•QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care/Children and Young people on Levels 3 & 5•Social Care Induction qualification as per National Induction Framework (SCIF QUALL)•Modular course provision to suit service needs, e.g. specific to Dementia or Learning Disability services at levels 3 & 5 learning credits
