Qualitative Evaluation of Food and Fun School Holiday Enrichment Programme

In January 2017 Welsh Government announced that they would invest £500,000 to fund the School Holiday Enrichment Programme (SHEP) in 2017. The WLGA have been tasked with administering this funding and will continue to coordinate the national programme. This tender invitation is subject to formal notification of Welsh Government funding. In February 2017 the WLGA hosted a national SHEP Event, which revealed considerable interest from local authorities and partner agencies. Following this event the WLGA invited local authorities to apply for funding to deliver Food and Fun in 2017 with a commitment to match fund. Application forms have been received from 15 local authorities, including 59 schools and 7 local health boards and the SHEP Wales Steering Group are currently reviewing these.
