The Integrated Care Fund for older people has allocated funds to the Vale of Glamorgan Council to establish and develop a pilot project to review and make recommendations on whether there are opportunities for improved outcomes for service users, improved quality of care and increasing release of efficiencies, from short term care packages through a change in emphasis on the service delivered by external care providers to a focus on re-ablement.The Council wishes to engage the market place in order to consult on this proposed pilot and gauge interest and experience in the provision of these services. Therefore The Vale of Glamorgan Council is holding a Supplier Engagement Event on Friday 27th June from 9.30 am at:Conference RoomBSC Innovation QuarterHood RoadThe WaterfrontBarryCF62 5QNThe aims of this engagement event are:- To enable organisations to understand the vision for delivering future services to elderly people in the Vale of Glamorgan.- To consult the market place on the proposed service in order to seek views and experience to inform the final version of the specification.- To provide interested organisations with an equal opportunity to understand the requirements of this procurement.- To promote integration and innovation.If you wish to attend this event please register by e mail to: Procurement@valeofglamorgan.gov.uk. quoting the name of the proposed attendee, your organisation name, address, telephone and e-mail contact details no later than 17:00 hours on Friday 20th June.Please note that the Event is restricted to one attendee per organisation.The format of the Event will be communicated the week commencing 23rd June, and depending on the number of attendees there may be two sessions offered.
