Refurbishment & Extension of existing rampway and boat pontoon to facilitate disabled access to Traw

Descriptions

Design and build project inclusive of engineering solutions to accommodate the fluctuating lake levels and access for disabled anglers compliant with current legislation. The proposed pontoon is to follow the line and gradient of a new stone slipway from the access pathway and then to float on the lake to provide a mooring for the Fishing Boats including Wheelie boats for Disabled Anglers.Due to the Lake water being used for Hydro Electric generating, lake levels can vary by up to 2.40 metres thus there is a need for the pontoon to be flexible in nature to be able to adapt to these different water levels. The stone work slipway is to be finished with a 150mm thickness of concrete upon which the modular Pontoon sections are to lie. The stonework is available on site for use in the slipway construction with allowance for placing only required. The new Pontoon sections are to be retained in position by suitable ground anchors as shown on the drawings.Tenders returned should include an option for either a 2.0 metre width or a 2.50 metre width of Pontoon.Guarding for the Access Ramp is to be compliant with Statutory requirements with respect to heights and resistance to impact force.
