Refurbishment of 11 kV SMV (Hadrian) Vacuum circuit breakers.
Descriptions
Northern Powergrid intends to refurbish 514 Reyrolle SMV 11 kV circuit breaker trip and close mechanisms over a 4 year period. The work is to be undertaken at the manufacturers facility using "traveller" circuit breakers and they will be required to manufacture a new 2000 amp unit to facilitate this. The manufacturer will also be responsible for all operational network activity and provide staff with Northern Powergrid operational codes to undertake this function. The work will require component manufacture, strip down, re-assembly, setting and testing to the original manufacturing specifications and performance comparison of the re-assembled mechanism made against the original manufacturers performance data for each unit.
