Regional Learning Partnership South West Wales: Mid Term and Final Evaluation
Descriptions
The Regional Learning Partnership (RLP) SWW is a Convergence funded project led jointly by Carmarthenshire CC and Careers Wales West. This investment is designed to test a model of collaborative working between public service organisations in south west Wales focused on learning and the regional economy. The funding package includes financial support from the European Social Fund along with funding provided by the Welsh Government, as well as levered funding from partners across the RLP. It is a unique partnership in Wales bringing together education and regeneration partners from a broad spectrum of mainly public services (some private sector engagement), across 5 county boundaries. The mid term and final evaluation is intended to inform the direction of travel of the RLP. It is an opportunity to take stock and review progress and milestones and also to reconsider the difficulties arising from partnership working and the means with which these have been addressed and whether lessons can be learned for future partnership working. Critically, the evaluation will inform the future governance of the Regional Learning Partnership SWW as it progresses from a loose voluntary consortium arrangement to a more focused and resilient organisation, capable of delivering transformation for the benefit of learners and potential learners and having an impact on the regional economy of south west Wales.
