Ysbyty Chwarel Dinorwic is a small slate quarry hospital museum situated within Parc Padarn country park on the outskirst of Llanberis just off the A4086. The site overlooks Llanberis lake. Site access is from the A4086 in the direction of the old quarry.The Building is a Grade 2 listed building of traditional dressed stoned faed walls, with sash windows under a traditional slate roof. The ground floor being partly used to the rear as park warden office but mainly as a quarry hospital museum. The first floor is an occupied residential flat. The building is to be renovated and repaired to inlcude extensive internal replastering in lime mortar, damp proofing works, rewiring inc installation of fire alarm and IT network, and upgrading of toilets.This work is partly funded by the ‘Ein Treftadaeth / Our Heritage’ project, part of Cadw’s heritage tourism project part funded by the European Regional Development Fund through the Welsh Government and by the Môn a Menai Regeneration Programme
