The Ruins of the Chapter House and Infirmary at Margam Park are Grade 1 Listed and Scheduled Ancient Monuments and are in danger of collapse and require urgent repair to secure the ruins from further deterioration.The works are of a specialist nature and this contract requires Specialist Contractors who are familiar with working on Ancient Monuments, Listed Buildings and Heritage Buildings in general.The works include careful removal of ivy, consolidation work of the collapsing masonry, specialist stone masonry repairs, re-pointing with lime mortar and the installation of anchors to stabilise the remainsNOTE: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process.
