External replacement for individual properties in Northville , Cwmbran. Work includes re roofing existing low pitch roofs and replacing fascias, soffits, barge boards and rain water goods.• To bring the property up to current standards and compliance with Welsh Housing Quality Standards.• To extend the life of the building for another 30 years.• Improvements to energy efficiency in compliance with Building Regulations Approved Document L (Conservation of Fuel and Power) and Approved Document F (Means of Ventilation) to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions.• To improve the building ''''U'''' Values and protect the structural integrity. • Improve the appearance of the properties.• The works will be offered to a suitable Contractor who can demonstrate experience and excellence in delivering projects of this nature.• Contractors should be able to demonstrate how they can make a contribution to the local economy and support Community Involvement• There is a possibility these works may interface with other internal improvement works. The programme will have to be carefully prepared in consultation with other teams, Project Managers and appointed contractor and sub-contractors.Under this contract the contractor is required to participate actively in the economic and social regeneration of and surrounding the place of delivery for the contract. Accordingly contract performance condition may relate in particular to social and environmental considerations.
