Heavy Girder Over Bridge (HGOB) Capability The Authority is requesting information relating to suppliers' ability to provide in-service support to the Heavy Girder Over Bridge Capability in accordance with the high-level outline requirements below: 1) HGOB cyclic fatigue testing - A physical test in accordance with Test Code for Gap Crossing Equipment which must be conducted to establish that the bridge remains within acceptance criteria defined in Trilateral Design and Test Code for Gap Crossing Equipment (TDTC). 2) HGOB TDTC for Gap Crossing Equipment - A cyclic fatigue test should be conducted to identify sensitive areas for monitoring in service to obtain some insight into crack growth rate, critical crack length, inspection, and repair techniques, and for safety reasons to identify that the structure can still sustain the maximum working load during its useful life. Where a Supplier is able to assist with elements of the requirement, they are requested to provide details including: • Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) costs (where a costing is provided as a range, please also indicate most likely cost) • Technical details of any proposed solution A response is requested within 3 weeks of this notification being released. Likely delivery timescale would be by FY 26/27 for the delivery of this requirement. Industry should note that the RFI is purely an information gathering exercise and does not represent a commitment by the Authority to launch any formal procurement procedure. This is not to be taken as an order, and any such requests shall be Subject to Contract.
