UKROEd Ltd wishes to commission a research organisation to undertake an evaluation of 7 National Driver Offender Retraining Scheme courses.The evaluation should identify— if course(s) result in a change in the target behaviour,— if any change is maintained beyond the period of the course,— which psychological constructs, behaviour change techniques, and other factors (for example trainer characteristics) appear to impact on outcomes; what barriers to changing behaviour do clients experience, and— how course(s) can be improved.It is intended that the contract will be awarded initially for a 3-year period. The 1st year will involve developing the methods and data collection materials to be used and commencing data collection. The 2nd year will be a full evaluation of each course, and the 3rd year a targeted evaluation focusing on any findings from year 2 that require further exploration.
