The work consists of writing reports (approx. 15000 words) on the state of the Welsh language in the following Areas of Wales:Nantlle Vale and surrounding district, Dyfi Valley and surrounding district, South Ceredigion/West Carmarthenshire/North Pembrokshire.(Applicants are invited to apply to produce reports on either one, two or three of the stipulated Areas).Work to be undertaken as follows:1.Collation of relevant evidence in relation to key influential factors and the Welsh language in each of the areas.2.Carry out a SWOT exercise of the state of the Welsh language in associationwith key partners in each of the areas. Work to be undertaken through the medium of Welsh. 3.Reports to include findings based on evidence collated which will be used to consider new approaches to strengthen the Welsh language in these areas.4.Prepare a substantial report (approx. 15000 words) on the state of the language in the stipulated areas, using the Aman Tawe Report as a template for the work. (see Resources Section for a copy of the Report)5.Reports to be submitted in Welsh and English as separate documents.This notice has been published in Welsh only as fluency in Welsh is an essential requirement in the delivery of this contract.
