Research into volunteering through the medium of Welsh in Wales

Increasing the opportunities to volunteer through the medium of Welsh and increasing the amount of services that are offered in Welsh is a vitally important part of the Welsh Language Commissioner's aim of allowing persons to live their lives through the medium of Welsh if they wish to do so. The Commissioner aims to make the Welsh language focal in the voluntary sector. The Commissioner wishes to learn about the strengths and weaknesses of the voluntary sector with regards to the Welsh language. Detailed research must be made to see which volunteering opportunities are available through the medium of Welsh, if there's a shortage of these opportunities then solutions must be formed to rectify any obstacles. On the basis of any evidence found the Commissioner wishes to offer clear and practical solutions to policy makers and service providers in Wales and also Welsh Government and third sector organizations in general.
